My dream car - The Audi R8
I absolutely love cars and I am vulnerable to the addiction of driving cars. I enjoy the thrills that they give me while cruising at a high speed and high speed cornering.
I have been in love with almost all my cars and recently I developed some sort of craziness towards the Audi R8.
The car was launched in India a few months ago at the price of Rs.1.17 cr. It will be a completely built unit (CBU). This is the 6th car to be launched from the Audi stable after the A4, A6, A8, TT and Q7. It is said that all the 15 cars slated for Indian market have already been sold out.
The first thing that attracted me towards the car was its killer looks. The car looked absolutely amazing at all angles and has a mean and sexy feel to it. The LED lights, lovely curves and modern design are simply irresistible not to have a second look at the machine. The body is made of all aluminum.
Then the sporty handling and drive maked it that much fun to drive. The 4.2 litre V8 engine produces 420 ps of power and about 430 NM of torque. It has the traditional Audi four wheel drive system. The engine is mated to a 6 speed gearbox. The car can reach around 300 kmph and has the ability to do 0-100 in 4.6 seconds.
Though I am no way even near to afford the vehicle, I feel that 1.17 crores for a true sports/super car is a very reasonable deal unlike some other sports cars which cost higher than 3 crores. Right now I can only set it as a desktop wallpaper and drool over it.
