Windows 7 beta now available officially
During the CES 2009 that is currently being held, Steve Ballmer, CEO of Microsoft, officially announced the availability of Windows 7 beta.
The OS will be as of now available to all MSDN and TechNet subscribers and the general public will get to download it in this week.

Some of the new features present in the OS were also revealed such as the new interface with revamped taskbar and start menu. Support for touch screen was also focussed upon. The final version of the OS will be available within the end of this year.
It is to be noted that about a week ago, the beta version of the OS was already leaked into the torrents and this official announcement and availability is no news to those who have already downloaded and used it.
