Suzuki launches the Hayabusa and Intruder
Suzuki has finally launched two of its super bike in India - The Hayabusa and the Intruder.
The Hayabusa needs no introduction as many of us know that it is one of the fastest bikes available today.It can arouse the thrill of riding a bike at 300 kmph.
The Intruder is a cruiser and suits people who drive on the highways at a peaceful pace. But it is no slouch either producing enormous amount of torque.
Both of the bikes are strictly for the super rich with each of those costing about Rs.12.5 lakhs ex-showroom. They also seem to be competitors to the Yamaha R1 and the MT-01.
The strategy followed by Suzuki seems too similar to Yamaha’s strategy to launch the super bikes first to create a brand hype and then launching the mainstream bikes by taking advantage of the hype created. Yamaha has been successful so far in this strategy and Suzuki will be hoping to get a similar welcome by the masses.
